I finally got my Negev pictures together!
Also, I've been learning more about the Temple Mount dispute. Israeli law requires that minor excavations be done before any construction, including the replacement of the walkway. A similar situation happened several years ago when the Tunnel Tour was opened along the Wall which goes underneath the city and inspects the Herodian construction. Neither the walkway or tunnel tour affect the actual Temple Mount, but the excavations could unearth artifacts problematic to the Muslims, some of whom deny that there ever was a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem.
